Niels Koek has over two decades of work experience in various roles and companies within the field of industrial automation.
Niels began their career at Elsag Bailey Hartmann & Braun in 1998 as a Sales Support Engineer.
In 1999, they joined ABB where they served as a Sales Engineer, selling turnkey industrial automation projects. Niels later became an Account Manager Utility, taking commercial responsibility for several accounts in the field of energy production.
In 2006, Niels joined Rockwell Automation as an Account Manager MES, focusing on manufacturing execution systems.
Since 2007, Niels has been with Yokogawa, where they have held several positions including Business Development Manager, Manager of System Sales Engineering, Manager of Industry Sales, and Director of Business Development. In their roles, they have managed teams, developed new business areas, and achieved results beyond budget expectations. Niels has also focused on strategic project calculation and sales management across Europe and Africa.

Niels Koek earned a BSc degree in Micro Electronics and Economics from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 1994 to 1998. During the same period, they also obtained a BS degree in NIMA A & B from the same institution. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1994, they studied Data communication at Tinbergen. In 2018, they began studying Business Development at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and their education in this field is currently ongoing.
