Jani Kozina is a Research Fellow at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Anton Melik Geographical Institute, where involvement in domestic and European research projects has been ongoing since 2009. Previously, Jani served as a Junior Researcher and Research Assistant, focusing on similar research collaborations. Jani's international experience includes a position as a Visiting Researcher at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where engagement with professor Nick Clifton led to work on the implications of place-based distinctiveness in policymaking for the creative economy. Earlier roles as Research Assistant at both the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia and the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Institute of Anthropological and Spa involved cooperation in various research projects. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geography from the University of Ljubljana, along with ongoing education at the University of Kent and the Assembly of European Regions.
