Polly Shao

Polly Shao is an experienced research associate currently working at Zymeworks Inc. since February 2023, with a prior role at Innovative Targetting Solutions from February 2022 to February 2023 and earlier tenure at Zymeworks Inc. from June 2020 to February 2022. Polly's expertise includes designing and executing in vitro assays for functional characterization of bioconjugates and small molecules, managing mammalian cell cultures, and collaborating closely with the Oncology group to analyze and document experimental findings. Previous experience also includes serving as an office manager for Dr. David De Camillis, handling patient records and insurance billing, as well as completing co-op placements during undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University, where proficiency in assay development and tissue culture was attained. Polly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Simon Fraser University, completed in May 2020.
