Job description

Examples of General Duties: Check in/out patients for dental appointments, confirming demographic information, and makes necessary changes to patient records. Verify insurance eligibility and understand basic insurance information Performs related work as required including but not limited to preparing for the next day, confirmation calls, office inventory, and clinic ownership Manages scheduling and coordinate patient flow Collects patient payment at time of visit Responsibly handle and account for all daily transactions Answers telephone calls, patient emails and text messages, and provides any pertinent information

Professional Requirements: Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and clean Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within the designated time Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner Dental terminology and treatment planning experience is preferred Prior knowledge of insurance benefits is desirable Maintains HIPAA

Regulatory Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent One year previous customer service experience One year previous dental office experience is preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Skills: Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high volume environment Knowledge of business office procedures Ability to greet patients and answer telephone calls in a pleasant and helpful manner Ability to speak clearly and concisely Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public Excellent organizational skills
