Karn Engelsgjerd

Karn Engelsgjerd serves as the Director of Development at Great MN Schools since July 2020 and is currently the Board Chair and a Board Member at EdAllies. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President and Executive Director at The Achievement Network from December 2011 to June 2020, where responsibilities encompassed guiding organizational vision and achieving ambitious educational goals, along with managing a team focused on enhancing student achievement. Karn also held the role of Vice President of Program in New York and Program Director in South Louisiana at Teach For America from 2001 to February 2012. Academically, Karn earned a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
