Kelly Kelsey

Kelly Kelsey is a seasoned environmental professional with over two decades of experience in environmental management and compliance. Currently serving as the Sr. Manager of Environmental Support at Evergy since April 2011, Kelly leads a high-performing team providing multimedia environmental support across the utility fleet. Kelly also holds the position of Manager at Friends of the Topeka Zoo since October 2015 and has served as an Executive Board Member. Prior experience includes several roles at Westar Energy, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Environmental Site Coordinator to Environmental Analyst, focusing on environmental compliance for various platforms. Earlier career accomplishments include serving as an Environmental Scientist at the State of Kansas Department of Health and Environment, where Kelly implemented and trained staff on drinking water regulations and developed state regulations. Academic achievements include a degree in Environmental Biology from Emporia State University and an Associate of Arts in Biology from Highland Community College.
