Director Domestic Income Tax Compliance at Gates

Scott Rose has a diverse work experience in the field of taxation. Scott started their career as a Staff Auditor at the Defense Department in 1989 and later worked as an Internal Revenue Agent at the Internal Revenue Service until 1996. From 1996 to 1998, they served as a Senior Staff Accountant at Martinelli, Cocuy & Company.

In 1998, Scott joined KPMG as a Senior Manager, Tax, where they managed and directed a team on various tax consulting and compliance engagements. Scott implemented the Tax Stream provision for income tax solution, which later became ONESOURCE Tax Provision.

Scott then moved on to Swift & Company (JBS) in 2006, where they served as a Senior Manager, Tax. Here, they oversaw and managed the corporate tax staff and was responsible for income tax return compliance, ASC 740 calculations, reporting, and disclosures. Scott also handled IRS and state income tax audits.

In 2007, Scott joined Crocs as a Tax Director, where they had various responsibilities. Scott managed the global provision for income tax calculation, preparation of financial statement presentation and income tax disclosures for SEC filings. Scott also oversaw US federal, state, local, and sales tax compliance.

Since 2015, Scott has been employed at Gates Corporation as the Director Domestic Income Tax Compliance, where they play a key role in managing domestic income tax compliance for the company.

Scott Rose obtained a Master of Taxation degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1996. Prior to that, they earned a BBA degree in Accounting and Tax from the same university in 1990. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Alabama.
