Marc Bright

Marc Bright has extensive work experience in the field of physical silicon design engineering and VLSI design. Marc is currently working as the Physical Design Team Lead at Graphcore since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Broadcom Limited for over two decades, starting as a Master Engineer in December 1999. At Broadcom, they managed the development of the company's complete RTL to Layout flow and led a team of people in maintaining and developing a silicon implementation flow. Before joining Broadcom, Marc worked as a Lecturer at Cardiff University, where they focused on VLSI design and signal processing research, including Artificial Intelligence for EDA and 3G mobile signal processing.

Marc Bright earned a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronics from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 1994. Marc then pursued a PhD in Electronics at the same institution, which they completed in 1997.
