Steven Mellen has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Steven started their career in 2000 as an IT System Administrator and Research Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology. During this time, they independently managed desktop and infrastructure services tasks and assisted with research in Imaging Science. From 2005 to 2007, Steven worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, where they managed and conducted research tasks in ophthalmology and assisted in the design, data collection, and analysis for multiple research projects.

In 2007, Steven joined Highland Hospital of Rochester NY as a Lead Pharmacy Technician. Here, they led the implementation of a new pharmacy service area and developed a university-wide patient discharge program. Steven also served as a core pharmacy technician, managing patient care, insurance billing, and compliance at an off-site ambulatory care center.

In 2010, Steven joined the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Senior Analyst/Programmer. In this role, they served as the Principal Project Manager for 4 system implementation projects, totaling $2.3 million in funding. Steven comprehensively managed and delegated project tasks, including planning, RFP, vendor selection, budgeting, task coordination, vendor relationship, system workflow, regulatory and security tasks, and technical internal team tasks.

In 2016, Steven moved to VCtwo Consulting as a Principal Project Manager and Technical Consultant, where they provided project management and technical consulting services. And in 2017, they joined HCTec as an Analyst Level 3. Steven later transitioned to the role of Project Manager in January 2019. Throughout their career, Steven has shown strong project management and analytical skills, as well as expertise in various industries such as healthcare and technology.

Steven Mellen attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2005, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Science and Technology. In 2012, they obtained the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Additionally, they have a certification in Willow Inpatient from Epic, but the specific date of completion is unknown.
