Sergey Gromov is a research scientist at the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie since August 2015, specializing in climate-chemistry interaction modelling and contributing to the PalMod project. Prior experience includes a role as a junior research fellow at the Institute of Global Climate and Ecology, where supervision of a scientific computing cluster and oversight of climate modelling activities took place. Sergey was previously an assistant and post-doctoral researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie from 2006 to 2015, and held various tutoring positions at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Early career experience includes work as a physics engineer/meteorologist at the Hydrometeorological Research Center and as a scientific modeller at the Institute of Global Climate and Ecology. Sergey Gromov holds a Dr. Rer. Nat. in Physics and Chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and is pursuing further studies in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology.
