Steve Hack

Steve Hack is an experienced GIS professional currently serving as the GIS Manager at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities since November 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the Environmental Services GIS system datasets related to regional wastewater conveyance and leading the redevelopment of the GIS Department. Prior to this role, Steve owned Four Winds Woodworking from March 2006 to March 2018 and worked as a GIS Solutions Provider at Sagefire, assisting cities in upgrading GIS to online systems. Steve has extensive experience as a GIS Analyst at SEH Technology Solutions and SEH Inc., where tasks included data design, proposal estimation, and mapping for environmental clean-up sites. Earlier positions also include Geographic Systems Technician at Allen & Hoshall Inc. and Senior Draftsman at Panamerican Consultants, Inc. Educational qualifications include an AAS in Geographic Information Systems from the State Technical Institute at Memphis and a BA in Anthropology, Marine Science, and Geography from The University of Alabama.
