Frank S Giaoui

Frank S. Giaoui has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Frank S. is currently a Co-Founder of Optimalex, a company that specializes in using AI algorithms and data analysis to provide objective predictions and decision support solutions for insurance claim managers, litigators, and litigation funders. Prior to this, they founded Hera Finance, an independent investment bank that focused on cross-border mid-cap mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance advisory. During their time at Hera Finance, they also served as the Founder and Managing Partner, handling debt and equity restructuring, LBO, venture capital, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions. Frank is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Université de Lorraine. In the past, they co-founded Apollo Invest and Medimania, where they played a pivotal role in VC and M&A deals with Liberty Surf and AXS Telecom. Frank S. also worked as a Strategy Development Manager at Kingfisher PLC and held the position of Vice President and Partner at Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting). Their career began at Bain & Company, where they worked their way up from Associate Consultant to Senior Manager. Throughout their career, Frank S. Giaoui has accumulated extensive experience in finance, strategy, consulting, and academia.

Frank S. Giaoui has an extensive education history. Frank S. obtained their Bachelor's degree, Baccalauréat en lycée d'enseignement général, from Lycée Carnot of Tunis in Tunisia, which they completed from 1969 to 1981. Following this, they pursued a Prépa HEC degree in Math and Economics at Lycée Louis-le-Grand from 1981 to 1983. Giaoui then completed their MBA with a focus on Finance, Economics, and Management at ESSEC Business School from 1983 to 1986.

In 1988, they joined Bain & Company as a Consultant In Training, where they gained experience in Strategy, Finance, and Management. After that, from 2002 to 2004, Giaoui served as a Visiting Professor at ESSEC Business School, specializing in Corporate Finance.

Moving forward in their educational journey, they pursued a PhD in Compared Law & Economics at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne from 2012 to 2018. Following this, Giaoui enrolled in Columbia University from 2015 to 2023, where they obtained their Doctor of the Science of Law, JSD degree as a Post Doc Research Scholar. Their field of study during this time was Contract Law & Economics.

Additionally, Giaoui has also been an Adjunct Professor and lecturer at Université de Lorraine since 2018, focusing on Civil Liability and Commercial Contracts at the Metz School of Law, Economics, and Management Sciences.
