Mark Terwilleger has an extensive work history, starting in 2005 with the US Army. Mark served in various roles, including Supply Support Activity Platoon Leader and Distribution Company Executive Officer, Battalion Logistics Officer, Counter-insurgency Company Commander, and Forward Support Company Commander. In 2013, they joined the US Army Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command as a Recovery Team Leader, where they led recovery missions to account for Americans missing in past conflicts. In 2014, they became Deputy Chief of Current Operations for the US Army, supervising various staff specialties and orchestrating strategic communications. In 2016, Terwilleger transitioned to the private sector, joining CVS Health as an Operations Manager and later becoming a Senior Operations Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager of Procurement at Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. where they oversee procurement operations.
Mark Terwilleger has a diverse education history. Mark achieved a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of Delaware in 2004. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Valley Forge Military Academy & College in 2002.
Following their undergraduate studies, Mark attended the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, where they gained knowledge and skills in entry-level warehouse operations, transportation, and distribution operations. Mark completed this course in 2004.
In 2010, Mark attended the Combined Logistics Captain's Career Course, focusing on Domestic and International Logistics Management.
Mark furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Transportation & Logistics Management from American Military University. Mark successfully completed this degree in 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Mark has obtained a variety of certifications. These include Composite Risk Management, Cyber Security Awareness, Equal Opportunity Training, Incident Command System - 300, Incident Command System - 400, Operational Security, Professional Continuity Practitioner - Level I, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention, Supervisory Safety Course, Threat Awareness and Reporting Program, and Foreign Disclosure Officer. Furthermore, they have completed several courses in areas such as Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System (JCIDS), Capabilities Development Tracking and Management (CDTM), Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering, Designing for Supportability in DoD Systems, System Sustainment Management, Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Product Support, Reliability, Availability and maintainability (RAM), Acquisition Logistics Fundamentals, and Capabilities Based Planning. Most of these certifications and courses were obtained between 2011 and 2015.
