As executive vice president for business risk services and chief compliance officer at Penn State Health and its subsidiaries, Kimberly Lansford is responsible for overseeing the audit, compliance, enterprise risk management, cybersecurity, privacy and business resiliency functions for Penn State Health. Lansford also promotes a corporate culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior and provides the basis for ensuring adequate compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements applicable to Penn State Health and its divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates.
Lansford has more than 36 years of diverse health care experience, serving and leading in both clinical and administrative roles, including chief compliance officer at Shriners Hospitals for Children, where she oversaw the corporate compliance operations for 22 domestic and international hospitals. She also held various executive-level corporate enterprise risk management, compliance and internal audit positions with Trinity Health Inc., a national health system with hundreds of hospitals, continuing care facilities, home care agencies and outpatient centers in 22 states.
Lansford is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Health Lawyers Association, and has been a speaker at many state and national conferences. She was honored by the New York County Lawyers’ Association and recognized for her pioneering work in legal compliance and enforcement, and received the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics’ International Compliance and Ethics Award. Certified in health care compliance, Lansford is also a registered nurse licensed in the state of Georgia.
Lansford earned her Master of Science in health law, magna cum laude, from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, Fla., and a bachelor’s in nursing from Florida Atlantic University.
