Grace McGregor, Ph.D has a diverse work experience beginning in 2007 when they worked as a Classroom Assistant for Kumon Educational UK. In 2013, they interned at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute, where they investigated the role of redox regulation in cancer. In 2014, they interned as an Analytical Chemist at AstraZeneca, where they increased the efficiency of shelf-life prediction and excipient compatibility studies. In 2015, they worked as a Scientific Intern for Costello Medical Consulting, creating systematic literature reviews and slide modules for pharmaceutical and clinical professionals. That same year, they began their PhD Researcher role at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute. In 2019, they began a Postdoctoral Scientist role at the University of California San Diego, where they used stable isotope tracing in combination with high-resolution mass spectrometry to explore complex lipid metabolism in cancer. In 2022, they began a Postdoctoral Scientist role at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where they established and maintained a QExactive high-resolution liquid chromatography mass spectrometer and developed methods for small polar metabolite identification and lipidomic quantification. Grace currently works as a Senior Scientist II at Phanes Therapeutics, Inc., where they lead the formulations and drug stability team, oversees the quality control for immunotherapies at each stage of production, and supports the early research team with assay development and microscopy.

Grace McGregor, Ph.D. completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology at the University of Glasgow from 2015 to 2019. Prior to this, they obtained a BA (hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge between 2012 and 2015.
