Abhijith Rajan

Abhijith Rajan, Ph.D. has a strong background in data science and astrophysics. Abhijith started their career as a Senior Data Analyst at Space Telescope Science Institute in 2008, working on projects related to the Hubble Space Telescope. Abhijith went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Arizona State University. After completing their studies, they worked as a Research Fellow at Space Telescope Science Institute, focusing on research for NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. Abhijith then joined Mareana as a Data Scientist, where they developed and implemented machine learning algorithms for data analysis. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operational Data Science at Ripjar, overseeing data science operations within the company.

Abhijith Rajan, Ph.D. obtained an Engineer's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls from Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology in the years 1999-2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Astronomy from San Diego State University from 2005-2008. Lastly, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Astrophysics from Arizona State University from 2012-2017. Additionally, they obtained a Program Graduate certification from The Data Incubator in 2018.
