Mary Rose S. Tan

Mary Rose Tan is an experienced legal professional and educator, currently serving as a Professorial Lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law since November 2009, teaching courses in Torts and Damages, and Obligations & Contracts. In addition to academic responsibilities, Mary Rose Tan has held the position of Assistant Vice President - Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at San Miguel Corporation since April 2005. Prior work experience includes serving as Court Attorney VI at the Supreme Court of the Philippines from March 2004 to April 2005, where responsibilities included clerking for Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr., and working as an Associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan from November 2001 to February 2004. Mary Rose Tan holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney (2008-2009), a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines (1997-2001), and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Philippines (1993-1997).
