Catherine Taggart

Catherine Taggart has held various roles in planning and environmental consultancy firms and local government agencies. Catherine started as a Planning Officer at Eden District Council in 2001 and later worked at Gateshead Council, Tynedale District Council, and Glasgow City Council in similar roles. Catherine then moved to Halcrow as a Senior Planning & Environmental Consultant in 2007 before becoming a Development Manager at Wind Prospect in 2011. Catherine further progressed their career by joining Wood as a Principal Consultant in 2015 and later moved to AECOM as an Associate Director in 2022. Currently, Catherine works as a Principal EIA Project Manager at SLR Consulting starting in 2024.

Catherine Taggart has a BA (Hons) in Town Planning from Newcastle University, completed in 2001. Catherine later pursued a DipTP(UC) in Town Planning (Urban Conservation) from 2003 to 2005, also at Newcastle University. Finally, they obtained an MA in Town Planning, specializing in Town Planning through a dissertation, from Newcastle University in 2007.
