Eugene Gavrilov has a diverse range of experience in roles related to quantitative research, development, and software engineering. Eugene started their career at Metacerebra, Inc. as the President, CEO, and Founder, where they focused on investigating equities strategies and testing portfolio optimization techniques. Eugene then worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Technical Staff Member, leading a team in building and operating network security systems. During this time, they also worked as a Postdoctoral researcher, studying strong laser-plasma interactions.

Following this, Eugene worked at Interactive Brokers as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed real-time risk margining services for options, futures, and bond products. Eugene then joined RGM Advisors, LLC as a Quant Researcher, researching predictability in high-frequency financial time series and developing advanced algorithms for signal selection and aggregation.

Eugene then moved on to AgileAssets Inc. as a Solutions Developer, where they developed and customized technologies for large-scale enterprise information management systems. Eugene enhanced the architecture for the company, which delivers solutions for infrastructure engineering and systems. Eugene later joined Amherst Holdings as a Senior Quantitative Developer, researching and developing technologies for valuation and risk-management of fixed-income products and derivatives. Eugene also mentored and trained junior and advanced quants and developers, and built a term-structure modeling system for interest rate forecasts.

Currently, Eugene is working at Teza Technologies as the Director of Quantitative Research and Development.

Eugene Gavrilov pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1980 to 1986, they attended the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT), where they obtained a Master's degree in Automation/Electronics. Following this, they enrolled at the Space Research Institute, Academy of Sciences, Russia, from 1986 to 1990. During this period, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics.
