Assistant Director, Internal Audit at Marmon Holdings

Daniel Montes has extensive work experience in internal audit and management roles. Daniel started their career as a Network Administrator at Integrated Communications (ICLA) in 1998. Daniel then worked as an Operations Manager at Builder Finish LLC from 2004 to 2005. Montes joined Grant Thornton LLP in 2005 as a Business Advisory Services Senior Associate, where they focused on SOX 404 compliance and internal audit engagements. In 2008, they joined Ryerson Inc as a Senior Internal Auditor and later became an Audit Manager, overseeing service center, regional, and corporate audits. Montes then joined Orbitz Worldwide as a Senior Auditor, where they played a key role in redesigning the IT control framework and managing consultant services. Daniel continued their career at Harbor Freight Tools as an Internal Audit Manager, responsible for internal audit projects and the management of internal control assessments. Montes also held positions at The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. as a Member and later as the V.P. of Professional Development. Daniel'smost recent role was at Marmon Holdings, Inc., where they started as an Audit Manager, then became a Senior Manager Internal Audit, and is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Internal Audit.

Daniel Montes has an extensive education history. From 2001 to 2004, they attended Loyola University Chicago, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems Management. Following this, they furthered their education at Loyola University Chicago from 2004 to 2007, obtaining two Master's degrees. The first was a Master's degree in Business Administration, and the second was a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Management. Additionally, in June 2006, they obtained a certification in CISA from ISACA.
