Maiju Salo

Maiju Salo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and compliance. Currently serving as Senior Manager Finance and Tax Compliance at UPM since May 2017, Maiju leads global operations for statutory and tax compliance processes. Previous roles at UPM include Senior Manager for Financial and Tax Reporting, where governance and organizational structures were a focus, and Senior Manager for Sales, Finance & Control, concentrating on revenue recognition and transfer pricing. Maiju's earlier experience at UPM-Kymmene Oyj encompassed various leadership positions within Finance & Control, including service area manager and financial controller. Maiju began the career in the retail and healthcare sector as an entrepreneur at Sakura and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Controlling from Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
