Michael Barker

Michael Barker is an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in project development at Whitehaven Coal since January 2023. Prior to this role, Michael served as Principal Engineer at Enable Advisory from November 2021 to January 2023. Michael's extensive career at Palaris spanned over thirteen years, where responsibilities included managing gas and study systems, mine planning, and financial assessments. Michael's earlier experience includes Technical Services Manager positions at Centennial Mandalong and Xstrata Coal, where the focus was on various planning aspects and geological management. Michael began as an Exploration Geologist with New Hope Group. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from The University of Queensland, complemented by a high school education from Ipswich Grammar School.
