Director Of Forest Science at Wildlife Works

Simon Bird began their work experience in 2005 as a Research Technician at the University of Vermont. In 2009, they joined AgRefresh as the Chief Environmental Accountant, where they developed three forest carbon projects in the Northeast of the U.S. Simon then moved on to Wildlife Works Carbon in 2011, starting as a Carbon Development Associate and later becoming the Director of Forest Science. In their roles there, they were involved in REDD+ project development, implementation, and general support, as well as monitoring and verification of projects.

Simon Bird completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont in the years 1999 to 2003. Later, from 2006 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Soil Science, also at the University of Vermont. In 2001, they engaged in a program focused on Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the School for International Training in Arusha, Tanzania.
