We are actively searching for a Sales Account Executive supporting East Coast hours to join our team. This sales role is focused on driving the full life cycle of software sales, working across a greenfield territory of MSP, MSSP & Enterprise accounts. Security and pen testing is an ever-changing space; therefore, we require all our team members to display curiosity in learning the technical elements across the changing landscape. In this role you will be required to build trust and credibility with a variety of stakeholders including red team leads, directors of security, business owners & CISOs. Our team is focused on the PlexTrac sales process. Collaboration across multiple functions such as sales engineering, leadership, marketing, and customer success is essential in helping to build the PlexTrac brand.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and target sales leads
Build and maintain relationships with clients across your region
Ability to prospect into your partner and customer base to identify opportunities, from marketing leads, SDR pipeline and ABM
Pipeline building skill set of following up leads
Build, maintain, and progress a sales pipeline from initial discovery to close
Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of PlexTrac products, competitor products and technologies, and industry trends
Engage in technical sales discussions with potential clients, leveraging sales engineering resources where needed
Work to maintain high level of customer satisfaction
Provide timely and accurate business forecasts to sales and executive management
Budget and allocate resources efficiently to maximize outcomes
Forecast accurately
Use PlexTrac’s sales model to engage directly with decision makers, champions and economic buyers in both MSSP and Enterprise
Beat quota consistently while learning and implementing our sales methodology, including effective use of tools and systems that help with tracking leading indicators for your forecast
Work closely with customers to create mutual action plans, generate pipeline and drive opportunities through to closure
Update customer records, activity and pipeline reports within Salesforce
Provide timely and accurate forecasts based on your monthly and quarterly goals
Build a consistent and reliable funnel of opportunities and meet established contract volume and revenue targets for new business
Qualifications
Experience in exceeding quota and are motivated by uncapped earning potential
Previous experience in the industry is a plus and will assist in building credibility selling to security experts/leaders
Passion for selling, and using creativity in solving problems, building pipeline and closing deals
Eager to be coached and share stories of success and failure with your peers to lift each other up
Ability to apply an organized and systematic approach to your sales process, including research, meeting prep, in-between event selling and account planning
Understand the atmosphere of a startup is motivating and know how to thrive in an environment where change is constant and obstacles need to be overcome with optimism, creativity and teamwork
Must be thoughtful, professional, concise, and accountable, with excellent communication skills and a high emotional IQ
Demonstrate the ability to convert prospects, build strong relationships and close deals

The typical pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD [$175,000.00 OTE] to [$220,000.00 OTE] per year. PlexTrac utilizes different base pay ranges for different work localities, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently based on their home market. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the specific applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s work location. In addition to a candidate’s work location, an individual’s base pay will also depend on a number of factors, such as complexity and responsibility of the posted role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At PlexTrac, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and equity options. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
